Education Fund - Giving Back
Minnesota Section of AIPG supports geoscience education in Minnesota. We currently:

Donate $1,000 worth of mineral hardness kits to K-12 teachers at the annual Minnesota Minerals Education Workshop (MMEW), run by the Minnesota Center for Mineral Resource Education (MCMRE).

Award an annual $1,000 Undergraduate Student Scholarship.

Donate up to $2,000 towards the Fundamentals of Geology (FG) exam fee for undergraduate students.
- Arrange 2-4 career panels per year at geoscience departments within MN colleges and universities.
- Host 2-4 student/professional socials per year.

Provide free registration for undergraduates to our monthly technical talks.
- Provide an annual subscription of our national publication, The Professional Geologist (TPG), to the 10 MN colleges and universities with geoscience degree programs.
- Provide extra copies of the annual TPG Student Issue to the 10 major colleges and universities with geoscience degree programs, up to $250 per year.
