Student Learning & Networking Opportunities

AIPG MN Section offers free registration to our monthly luncheons (September through May/June) for students! AIPG MN Section also organizes Social Hours for Students & Professionals where you can talk to geoscience professionals in a casual atmosphere. AIPG MN Section pays for appetizers. Make sure you're on our email list, if you have any questions please email us at [email protected].

Besides AIPG MN Section there are some great opportunities for free and low-cost talks, lectures, and conferences for undergraduate and graduate students in Minnesota!

• The Minnesota Ground Water Association (MGWA) holds one-day conferences twice per year. Student registrations is refunded once you attend the conference.

• The Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) Minnestoa Section, has a Northern Minnesota Subsection & a Twin Cities Subsection. Students may register for luncheons for discounted price!

• The Mesabi Range Geological Society offers lectures in northern Minnesota.

• The Institute on Lake Superior Geology offers a yearly conference with great content.

• The Minnesota Mineral Club holds free meetings that include a technical talk.

• The Geological Society of Minnesota has free, monthly public lectures.
